Dr. Peter Everett grew up right in nearby Hanover and graduated from Rumford High School, before attending Bowdoin College for his undergraduate degree in biology. He graduated from New England College of Optometry in 1984 and came home to Rumford to practice Optometry with Dr. Bruce Kirn in 1986. Dr. Everett served as president of the Maine Optometric Association and currently is treasurer of the local Lions Club and a board member at Black Mountain.
Pete enjoys hiking and boating in the Maine outdoors during the summer, and can be found skiing or snowshoeing on the local hills during the winter. He also likes to travel and photograph the desert west and other unusual places.
Dr. Linda Cameron moved to Rumford from Minnesota during her high school years and then attended Bowdoin College for her degree in biology. She graduated from New England College of Optometry in 1997 and was promptly hired to come home to Rumford and work with Dr. Kirn and Dr. Everett. She became a partner with Dr. Everett when Dr. Kirn retired in 2001. Linda served as president of the Maine Optometric Association and now sits on the State of Maine Optometry Board.
Linda enjoys spending time with her husband and two active young sons. They ski in the winter and stay at their cottage on a local pond in the summer. Her special hobby is jujitsu, so beware!
Dr. Will Keyes came to us in September of 2011 from rural Pennsylvania by way of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He answered our search for a new associate, because of the opportunity to work in a top- quality, broad-scope eye care position in a place where there was lots to do in the outdoors.
Will likes to hike and ski, and travels when he can to visit his family who live in various places in the country. As a newer graduate, Will has excellent knowledge and skills with some of the newer technology available at this time.
Dr. Sarah Ellis joined the staff at Mountain View Eyecare in January 2014. Originally from Mars Hill, Maine, she is excited to be back in her home state. After graduating from Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine with a bachelor of science, she attended New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon graduation, Dr. Ellis moved to Denver, Colorado where she opened a practice providing comprehensive family eye care.
Sarah fell in love with Bethel when her family began farming potatoes here ten years ago and felt the draw to move back to the area with her husband Ben and daughter Penelope. They have since welcomed a son, Duncan. She enjoys hiking, gardening and skiing with her family.
